On Wednesday, the market will be holding its annual fall fest and feature cooking demonstrations by City Pasta Nashville, a petting zoo, live music, storytelling by Magda the Story Spider, plus children’s activities including face painting and fall themed crafts by The Workroom and Plant the Seed.

The festival runs from 3:30pm-7pm on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014.

Magda the Story Spider

magdaIt may surprise you to know that many of the stories that float around comic books and superhero movies these days have much older roots. Come hear a trio of adventures about Thor, Spiderman and Iron Man in these live Marvel storytelling adventure.
Magda the Story Spider will be weaving her stories with us at the East Nashville Farmers Market on Wednesday, September 24th at 6:30pm.
She began to tell stories in her neighborhood children’s bookstore about 5 years & has exploring ever since. She’s been a featured teacher-teller at the Lockeland Design Center, a repeat presenter at the Tennessee Library Association conference, a workshop moderator for teens at the Smyrna Public Library, a founder of Eastside Tellabration! and a performer for the Jonesborough National StorytellingFestival’s 1st Annual Story Slam, in the midst of spinning traditional yarns for bookstores, schools, libraries, and birthday parties around the state and a few personal narratives for the local MOTH-type shows, including That Time of the Month. She enjoys bringing contemporary twists to fairy tales, myths & folklore, as well as weaving common threads, connecting with True stories. You can find her on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
