The 3rd annual East Nashville Farmers Market Pie Festival was held on Wednesday, July 19th at the East Nashville Farmers Market. The weatherman had called for a record heat day, but loyal customers flooded Shelby Park for the tastiest market of the year- Pie Fest. Kids enjoyed face painting and games and parents enjoyed the live music, food trucks and locally grown food.
Our celebrity judges were in for a real treat as they tasted homemade pies from all over Nashville. Special thanks to our judges:
Jill Melton, Edible Magazine
Rebecca Boyton, Nashville Farmers Market
Jack Silverman, Writer, Nashville Scene
Categories for the Pie Fest included sweet, savory and hand pies. Each pie was lovingly hand crafted and extra points were given if they used local ingredients.
